River District Construction Update

regarding the work going on for the River District project on Saranac and Ammonoosuc Streets. Construction is nearing completion and the last big component is the placement of the final coat of pavement on the roads.

This paving work is tentatively scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week but is dependent on weather. As soon as the paving is complete, the roadway striping will be painted. After that, there will only be some minor details left to finish.

“Overall this has been a great construction project,” said Colin Dinsmore, Senior Civil Engineer. “And on behalf of the project team, I’d like to thank the entire community for your support and patience during construction. Hopefully, everyone will be happy with the final product.”

Maintenance of Traffic

Traffic is open through the work zone but may be limited to one lane of travel during the final paving. If this happens, flaggers will be on hand to help control traffic so please be patient as there may be some wait time to allow for the construction crews to maneuver around the work area. Please drive slowly through the work zone.
