LRH to Open Urgent Care

Littleton Urgent Care Opens Monday, July 8th

Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH) is pleased to announce the opening of Littleton Urgent Care conveniently located at Littleton Regional Healthcare. Littleton Urgent Care will officially open on Monday, July 8, 2019, and will be open seven days a week from 9 am to 8 pm.

No appointment is necessary to be seen. This Center will provide a faster and less costly alternative to the emergency department when patients need care right away.

Littleton Urgent Care will be staffed by LRH board-certified Emergency Department physicians, primary care and internal medicine physicians, and advanced practice professionals, Littleton Urgent Care will offer evaluation and treatment for a wide range of illnesses or injuries, including fever or sore throat; respiratory infection; simple cuts needing stitches; and muscle sprains and other injuries. (See the complete list of symptoms and injuries below.)

Urgent care services will be available for patients of all ages and the average visit will take less than one hour.

The opening of Littleton Urgent Care has been an important part of our strategic plan.  We are so pleased that it is opening so that we can continue to expand our services,” stated Littleton Regional Healthcare President Robert Nutter. “Patients and individuals in our community will have a convenient, low-cost option for high-quality, comprehensive care – delivered by caring providers our community already know and trust.  When we offer the right care in the right place, at the right time, every time, we will see improvement in the overall health of the community.”

Offerings

Littleton Urgent Care will offer the most spacious and advanced walk-in facility in the region. Located in the Occupational Health Center at LRH, Littleton Urgent care is an important part of the hospital’s ongoing expansion of the center. Patients will have ready access to medical imaging for x-rays and laboratory services for tests.  Patients can also fill their prescriptions at the North Country Pharmacy located on-site.

The new urgent care services will be available at an affordable and competitive price – and will be covered by most health insurance plans. Patients can also feel confident they will receive the highest quality care. Littleton Urgent Care is located close to the hospital’s full-service emergency department. A board-certified emergency medicine physician remains on the property at all times to respond to emergencies.

“If a patient arrives at our urgent care center experiencing a heart attack or other emergency, he or she can be transferred quickly and easily to the emergency department,” said Koren Superchi, RN, MSN, and Vice President of Patient Care Services. “Test results and records from the visit will be shared with the patient’s primary care doctor and made available in the emergency department if the patient needs additional care. We’ll even help patients find a primary care doctor if they don’t already have one.”

“LRH remains committed to serving North Country residents and providing the highest level of personal, patient-focused health care to our communities,” said Nutter.
