LRH Laboratory General Supervisor, Elizabeth Andross, MT (AAB) stated, “The laboratory staff at LRH work diligently to ensure that the more than 1500 National Standards set forth by CAP are adhered to daily.

The U.S. federal government recognizes the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program. It begun in the early 1960s, as being equal-to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection program.

During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years.  CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record and overall management.

Robert Nutter, President at LRH states, “I commend the LRH Laboratory staff for their outstanding commitment to the medical. And clinical staff at LRH, and for their dedication to providing high-quality care to patients and their families.”
