Lancaster Selectboard hears updates.

The Lancaster Selectboard meeting held their meeting Monday night, April 4th in the Town Hall. Department Head updates came from Robin Irving from Land Use, Tim Brown from the Highway Department, Tim Bilodeau from Water & Sewer, and Brian Patnoe from the Transfer Station.

After the signing of various papers, and the review of minutes from previous meetings, Town Manager Gaetjens-Oleson gave an update on the Kent Fountain. The fountain was toppled during a recent motor vehicle collision in March. The parts of the fountain that will need to be replaced and/or repaired have been moved to a safe location by the sand pit. Barry Normandeu assisted with the transport of the pieces and provided some technical assistance in surveying the damage caused by the accident. Additional discussion continued about repair vs replacement of the fountain with the Town Manager noting that repair would be preferred in order to keep the original granite.
