Annual Maple Dinner at The Rocks
Maple dinner set to “Wow” guests once again.
The Rocks will once again celebrate the transition from a long winter to a welcome spring with its annual Maple Dinner on April 14. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit The Rocks Project Fund for maintaining and improving this historic property.
“We introduced the Maple Dinner in 2011, and it’s been a hit each year since,” said Nigel Manley longtime manager of The Rocks. “The food is always incredible, the company is great, and it’s just a nice way to welcome spring.”
Chef Joe returning
Returning to wow diners is Chef Joe Peterson of Sugar Hill, who will incorporate maple throughout the menu. Culinary highlights of the evening’s three-course meal include a maple vinaigrette-dressed salad. The main course is a pecan-encrusted chicken breasts stuffed with ham and cheese. The chicken is also topped with a maple brandy cream, and maple apple cinnamon crisp will be served as a desert.
Woodstock Station will provide a sampling of its locally-brewed beers. There will be a tasting by Bully Boy Distillery of Roxbury, Massachusetts. Dennis Cote of Sugar Hill will provide musical entertainment during the evening.
The Maple Dinner begins at 6 p.m and the cost of the dinner is $50 per person.
