New Doctor Joins Alpine Clinic

Dr. Anthony Salerni to Join Alpine Clinic in December

Littleton Regional Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Anthony Arthur Salerni, MD, a Neurological Spine Surgeon. He will join LRH in December. Dr. Salerni will provide minimally invasive spine surgeries service that is needed in this area.

About Dr. Salerni

Anthony Salerni, MD, Neurosurgery Specialist

Dr. Salerni comes to LRH with more than 30 years of experience in this specialized field. Most recently, Dr. Salerni was part of the medical staff at Lakes Region General Hospital. He served as an Advanced Orthopedic Specialist in orthopedics, spine surgery, and neurosurgery. Dr. Salerni has been on active medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Southern Regional Medical Center in Nashua, and Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

Dr. Salerni completed his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Chemistry at the University of Vermont in Burlington where he achieved Magna Cum Laude status. He completed his M.D. at the University of Vermont – College of Medicine in Burlington. His graduate studies were done at Boston University in Boston, MA, and Brown University in Providence, RI. He served as Chief Resident, Neurosurgery at Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Salerni completed additional studies in Microvascular Surgery at Ira Allen Laboratory in Burlington, VT; and Acute Trauma Life Support Instructor course at USUHS in Bethesda, MD.

Awards and Honors

During his pre and postgraduate years, Dr. Salerni received numerous honors and awards including the Clinton Dana Cook Award – Department of Chemistry at the University of Vermont; American Chemical Society’s Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry; Resident Paper Award at New England Neurosurgical Society in Woodstock, VT; Chief Clinical Investigator at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH; Chief Design Engineer/Investigator at Metronic, Memphis, TN.

Dr. Salerni is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He received Diplomate status from the National Board of Medical Examiners. He holds professional memberships with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and is a Fellow American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Salerni has numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented to various audiences on a multitude of topics related to his neurological spine studies and research.
